Collection: CBC

CBC is one of the lesser-known cannabinoids, but it's become one of our favorites for daytime formulas. So we worked with Free Bloom Hemp Co to make meaningful amounts of this harder-to-find cannabinoid available to our customers.

Why We Like CBC

CBC has become one of our favorite cannabinoids for daytime formulas. People often describe it as more uplifting and focusing than CBD alone, particularly when paired with CBG. That makes the combination an interesting option for people concerned about daytime drowsiness from CBD-heavy formulas.

Independent by Nature

We conduct truly independent lab tests and assess:

  • Batch testing history, not just single tests
  • Manufacturing practices, not just claims
  • Formulation quality, not just labels

Some ask how we can afford to do this. We ask, "How can you afford not to?"

New to CBC?

CBC is one of the lesser-known cannabinoids, but it's become one of our favorites for daytime formulas. People often describe CBC as uplifting and clear-headed, particularly when it's paired with CBG.

Human research on CBC remains limited, so we don't treat those experiences as proof of a therapeutic effect. But the combination has become a useful option for people looking for a daytime cannabinoid formula without the drowsiness they sometimes experience with CBD-heavy products.

What is CBC, does it get you high, and how is it different from CBD, CBG, or CBN?

How Does Herbal Edge Choose New Products?

We review and vet hundreds of CBD wellness formulas from around the country, then choose the most interesting ones to test ourselves. Only products we find genuinely useful or unique go through our independent testing process and eventually make it onto our shelves.

In this case, potent CBC products at a reasonable prices were so difficult to find that we eventually stopped looking and asked Free Bloom Hemp Co. to make some for us. We thought they would make an excellent partner because of their commitment to high-quality, small-batch manufacturing and their longstanding interest in unique CBD wellness formulas. They delivered with the two formulas you'll find here.

CBC, CBG, or CBD?

You don't necessarily have to choose one. Most CBC products combine several cannabinoids rather than using CBC by itself.

CBD is the most established and widely available. CBG has become especially popular in daytime formulas. CBC is less common, but we particularly like the combination of CBG + CBC when an uplifting daytime profile is the goal.

How Much CBC Should I Take?

There isn't an established universal dose of CBC, and human dosing research remains limited.

Most CBC products also contain substantial amounts of other cannabinoids, so it makes more sense to consider the entire formula than to focus only on the CBC number.

Our general dosing guide explains how we approach cannabinoid dosing and finding a meaningful serving.

Common Questions

Is CBC intoxicating?

CBC is not considered intoxicating and does not produce the characteristic high associated with THC.

CBC is most commonly found in formulas alongside other cannabinoids, so the overall experience can depend on the complete cannabinoid profile and serving size.

How does CBC make you feel?

CBC is often described by our customers as uplifting and energizing, which is one reason we like it in daytime formulas.

Individual experiences vary, and human research on CBC remains limited, so we don't assume everyone will respond to it the same way.

Can I take CBC during the day?

Yes. In fact, most of the CBC products we carry are intended for daytime use. We particularly like formulas that pair CBC with CBG for an uplifting daytime profile.

As with any new cannabinoid product, start with a reasonable serving and see how you respond before adjusting the amount.

Can I take CBC with CBD or CBG?

Yes. CBC is commonly combined with CBD, CBG, and other cannabinoids rather than sold by itself.

Many of our daytime formulas pair CBC with CBG, while broader multi-cannabinoid formulas may combine CBC with CBD, CBG, CBN, or several cannabinoids at once.

Can CBC make me fail a drug test?

If drug testing matters to you, don't assume that using a THC-free cannabinoid eliminates all risk. Product testing has detection limits, and drug testing can be more complicated than simply checking whether THC appears on the label.

Review the product's laboratory results and understand the limitations of “THC-free” claims before using any cannabinoid product when a positive test would have serious consequences.
